This shounen manga depicts the
sport-based story of a boy and his determination to become the best
player the soccer world holds. With the friendships that follow, as
well as having to overcome the trial of high school, Whistle! follows
Shou Kazamatsuri and his fellow soccer players at Sakurajousui through
their failures and triumphs. Eager to prove themselves, the lovable
characters in this story endure anything to inch closer to towards victory.
Created by Higuchi Daisuke following the FIFA World Cup in 2002, Whistle
is still going at 23+ volumes and finished running in Shounen Jump,
weekly.
