Things to Note
1. Never ever click any links showing on channel window unless you're sure
they're valid URLs or the URL was give from somebody you can trust. Otherwise, the link might contains virus.
2. Never ever respond to the channel / DCC chat message saying "There're new mIRC update! Click
this link to update your copy! http://www.stupidlink.com". As far as I remember,
mIRC will NEVER do that. Most of the time, those link will download some virus,
and it'll damage your computer.
3. Never type @find. OPs will ban you.
4. Never type dir in channel window. OPs will ban you.
(You might wonder what's the big deal about it?
Well, it'll get annoying after somebody keep typing dir dir dir for 50 times.)
5. Do not !list OPs. OPs will ban you.
I know, it's much easier just type !list tsubasa, HolyWoo, crispy, or ocean.
They have the newest series anyway.
But each time you do that, probably it'll stress their server.
Actually I don't know :x
Anyway, just be fair and go through !list for everyone.
6. Do not just open the DCC chat window and type dir. That person might ban you from accessing to his/her fserv.
It is very annoying when I come home and see 10 DCC chat windows only containing dir command.
Same thing happens to queues command.
7. Don't ask when _insert_title_ Manga will be released.
We're working hard every day and night to release any Manga ASAP.
Don't pressure on us, or we won't work well.
Instead, you can say something like:
"Waaaah! _insert_title_ was really good! Thank you for your hard work!!
I love Aku Tenshi!!"
:P
8. We have Trivia day every Saturday. It'll be either on Manga/Anime or Game. Come join us, it's fun.
9. Well, this is getting very random. I'm writing anything I can remember out of my head.
10. Do not use bad words. OPs will ban you.
11. Be nice to other people. If you do, then other people will be nice to you, too.
If they don't, then don't worry. They're still little kids. You can show them how grown ups behave.
12. Use English when you chat. It's an English scanlation group after all.
For you German, aka Doitsu fans, maybe you can join in #grauzone. I, ocean, will be there along 3 other German scanlation groups.
13. Do not look or ask for licensed material. Where can you find it? Your local bookstore.
You don't live in North America? There's always http://www.amazon.com for you.
It costs you too much money? Hmmm, where do you think we get Japanese raws to scanlate? I bet you our expense is much more than yours...
We're getting poor :'(
14. You can ask, but before you ask, it's always a good idea to go http://www.dailymanga.org
to check where to get your favorite manga. It's in French, but I'm sure you can understand. French is very similar to English after all.
If you read this far, please drop me a note at oceanizer@gmail.com.
It took me some time after all, and I want to hear some feedbacks.
