1. It says the nickname is already registered. What should I do? 2. It says the nickname is being used. But this is my nickname!! What should I do? 3. My question is not listed here. What should I do? 1. It says the nickname is already registered. What should I do? ----- -NickServ- This nickname is registered and protected. If it is your -NickServ- nick, type /msg NickServ IDENTIFY password. Otherwise, -NickServ- please choose a different nick. -NickServ- If you do not change within one minute, I will change your nick. ----- You'll need to choose other nickname. You can choose new nickname easily by typing following command: /nick NewNickName Don't forget to replace NewNickName with something that you want use for YOUR nickname. Also, don't forget to register the name!! 2. It says the nickname is being used. But this is my nickname!! What should I do? ----- Nickname is already in use. ----- Type in following command: /nickserv ghost YourNickName YourPassword It'll kill the nickname that's being used. ----- -NickServ- Ghost with your nick has been killed. ----- After you get this message, type in following command: /nick YourNickName It'll let you regain your nickname. Don't forget to identify yourself by typing following command: /identify YourPassword 3. I cannot find "IRCHighway: Random server" from servers list! What should I do? Instead, you can type following command to connect to the server: /server -m irc.irchighway.net -m stands for multiple, so it'll let you connect to multiple server later on. 4. What is the #aku-tenshi rules? You can get the updated rules by typing: !rules in #aku-tenshi channel. What is "Ping Pong"? It's annoying! IRCHighWay server is making sure if you're still alive. You can turn it off by going to View -> Options -> IRC -> Options -> Hide ping? pong! Event 6. Can I close the DCC session once I'm done? Of course! It's better if you close the DCC session as soon as possible, because then, other people can connect to that server. 7. How do I register my nickname? a. Type the following command in where the cursor is: /nickserv register password email - Replace password with your own password. It'll be your login password for IRCHighway server. - Replace email with your own email address. You'll need to use a valid email address because the confirmation number will be sent to your email. [note] You need to do this process only for the first time. This is for you to register your nickname so that other people won't use your nickname from later on. If the message is said that the nickname is already registered, then type in following command: /nick NewNickName Don't forget to replace NewNickName with something that you want use for YOUR nickname. b. Check your email. An email supposed to be sent to your inbox from services@irchighway.net. You might need to check your Bulk/Spam folder, because some email client will think this is a spam email. Don't worry; this will be the only email you'll receive from IRCHighWay. c. Email will be look like this: ----- Hi, You have requested to register the following nickname NewNickName. Please type " /msg NickServ confirm Vp1moxNSQ " to complete registration. If you don't know why this mail is sent to you, please ignore it silently. PLEASE DON'T ANSWER TO THIS MAIL! irchighway.net administrators. ----- d. Copy and paste the command to your mIRC. Mine will look like this: /msg NickServ confirm Vp1moxNSQ e. After you type in the command, the mIRC will respond with that your nickname is registered. f. Type in the following command to confirm your nickname: /identify YourPassword This will let you identify yourself with the nickname, so that people won't mistake you with other people. You'll need to do this whenever you launch the server second time and on. However, you don't need to go through the whole registration thing any more. 8. I'm lazy to identify myself every time. Any workaround? Locate following dialog: View -> Options -> Connect -> Options -> Perform Check on "Enable perform on connect", then type following command in textbox: /identify YourPassword Now, whenever you connect it will automatically identify yourself!! 9. I get port 59 error!! What's this?! ----- Server Notice: This server is using an alternate send method, please make sure your DCC Server is active and set to port 59. /dccserver +sc on 59. ----- This is happening because of the firewall. You can try type in following commands: /dccserver +sc on 59 but usually that won't do anything. My suggestion is, if you get this error message, don't try any further. Just go look for another trigger! 10. Oh no! I got banned from #aku-tenshi!! O oh. Didn't you read the rules? Too bad... Usually you get banned if you do one of the followings: !list ops @find Time varies depends on what you did. Don't ever PM ops about this. Usually ban will lift in couple of hours. 11. I'm in the channel, there's a lot of members, but... no one's talking! What's wrong? Nothing, really. Mostly everyone is there for one purpose - to leech!! If you feel like talking, type something in the channel and see if anyone responds. If nobody respond, chances are they're busy reading Manga!! 12. My download got disconnected... do I have to start it over? No! If you get the same user and you didn't touch the unfinished file, it should start back right where it left off!! Just do same leeching process, and you'll be fine. 13. My question is not listed here. What should I do? You can always type in a question in #aku-tenshi channel. If anybody is around, they'll be nice to you and answer you. If nobody answer you, then you can go to Aku-Tenshi Forum and look through this thread or post a question there.
